A third Banksia variation, and more quilting in this project file.

The next step I am thinking about for these is to mix them up in on project file, though perhaps a look to see if there are more leaf shapes to play with.

The background colour is a pretty accurate depiction of the agricultural areas around us at the moment, but there are no Dessert Peas growing. They come after the first real rainfall, not just the few drops which have fallen from time to time.

At least the ones on the virtual quilts don’t need rain to grow, and I don’t have to damage fabric to show off the designs.
I love the second design.

Australian flowers in the centre are surrounded by birds and animals which are also native to Australia. The only imports are the pile of books and the apple.

The background colours represent a large proportion of the country in the summer, and some of the country almost all the time.

A very interesting first design.

Ditto the second design!
My favourite of the two is the first one.

Another variety of banksia, and some quilting motifs in coloured thread based on the applique designs.

I am enjoying playing with the scale of the flowers in these designs.
